Dry Bread for Breakfast

Monday, October 12, 2009

While the food is delicious here at Women & Infants hospital, it has taken me 3 days to learn I need to be VERY specific when ordering my meals. For instance, yesterday I ordered decaf tea with breakfast. I received a cup of hot water and a tea bag. Guess I forgot to circle "packet of sugar" on the menu. Last night, I was actually afraid they'd bring me my cheerios this morning without milk because I knew I forgot to circle "milk" under the beverages section on the menu. Thankfully, they were smart enough to figure that one out on their own and I didn't have to eat dry cereal. I do, however, get to eat a plain english muffin with breakfast. Guess I forgot to mention that I wanted jelly (or peanut butter, or butter, or anything! come on people! not that hard to figure out nobody wants to eat a piece of dry bread!). You can be sure that I double checked my meal orders for tomorrow to make sure I didn't miss any little detail!

ha ha! okay so what is for lunch? i'm enjoying your hospital stories--did you get jenn's email about how to entertain yourself there? i think you should ask for a chaplain and come up with tough theological questions to ask him/her to test them :)
