About me

Megan Backman
I'm working on my secondary education credential with an endorsement in mathematics. I'm passionate about using my computer science background within my future mathematics classroom. I believe the future of this country depends on creating technologically literate students who do not solely use technology, but have the ability to create technology. I'm the mother to 2 young girls who started learning the basics of coding at 3 years old (Robot Turtles, anyone?). Follow me on Twitter @MBackmeg

Big Belly!

Sunday, October 4, 2009

It's official, I'm big! I don't feel THAT big... until I look in the mirror and I'm reminded that I have this huge belly sticking out the front of me. It's getting a little harder to get up from a laying down position. The stomach muscles no longer work like they used to. I've been having fun tracking my weight gain on the WiiFit. Surprisingly, I haven't gained much weight over the past few weeks. Most of my weight gain happened in July/August. It was recommended that I gain 25-35 pounds and I'm on the low end of that, but that's okay with me. I'm still eating pretty much non-stop. My newest favorites are cheese, crisp apples, and any hard candy that I can suck on. And of course, Tums... gotta have them close at hand at all times. Tums make up the 7th food group of a pregnant lady's diet. I love being pregnant and feeling my baby move, but I think I'm ready to be done with this stage. I'm pretty sure my ribs agree. They are ready for a break and want their personal space back.

OH Megs I am right there with you! Only instead of Tums I drink bottles of Maalox. I used to eat Rolaids but I've had so many that they touch my tongue and make me nauseous. Miss you! Love you!
