About me

Megan Backman
I'm working on my secondary education credential with an endorsement in mathematics. I'm passionate about using my computer science background within my future mathematics classroom. I believe the future of this country depends on creating technologically literate students who do not solely use technology, but have the ability to create technology. I'm the mother to 2 young girls who started learning the basics of coding at 3 years old (Robot Turtles, anyone?). Follow me on Twitter @MBackmeg

Simply Complex

Baby Ducky

Sunday, October 4, 2009

I threw a baby shower for my good friends Brendan and Echo Duckett. I decided to make it rubber ducky themed (in honor of their last name) and had a fun time searching for cupcake and cake decorating ideas. Here's what I came up with...

The cake... the ducks on top are actually rubber duckies. I'm not THAT artistic! The soap bubbles are all rolled, white fondant.

The matching cupcakes. I made the ducks out of colored chocolate using a chocolate mold.
