About me

Megan Backman
I'm working on my secondary education credential with an endorsement in mathematics. I'm passionate about using my computer science background within my future mathematics classroom. I believe the future of this country depends on creating technologically literate students who do not solely use technology, but have the ability to create technology. I'm the mother to 2 young girls who started learning the basics of coding at 3 years old (Robot Turtles, anyone?). Follow me on Twitter @MBackmeg

Simply Complex

"The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity."

From the Mouth of a 2 Year Old

Thursday, December 29, 2011

I was very tempted to start a twitter account called "FromTheMouthOfA2YrOld", but none of my family subscribe to twitter so instead I will be treating my blog like a twitter stream posting random conversations and quotes that could only come from the mouth of a very talkative 2 year old.

Lily: what's that?
Daddy: jerky
Lily: gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble
Daddy: no, not turkey, beef jerky

In the car on the way home from dinner, Lily is ordering Daddy, Auntie Hope, and myself to sing "Happy Birthday louder to baby Jesus!" (her favorite song, who we sing it to changes each time) so I start singing in spanish to vary things up (hey, I have sung this song more times in the past 2 months than the entire previous 28 years combined). Lily stops and thinks then asks us to sing happy birthday to baby "Hey-suess" this time.
