About me

Megan Backman
I'm working on my secondary education credential with an endorsement in mathematics. I'm passionate about using my computer science background within my future mathematics classroom. I believe the future of this country depends on creating technologically literate students who do not solely use technology, but have the ability to create technology. I'm the mother to 2 young girls who started learning the basics of coding at 3 years old (Robot Turtles, anyone?). Follow me on Twitter @MBackmeg

100 Days...

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

...until my due date!!! Some of you may think I'm a little too excited because 100 days is still a long time, but when the countdown started around 250 days, it's very exciting to finally be reaching the double digits tomorrow. Of course this also means I only have 100 days to finish getting everything ready. Not only is the nursery half-way painted, but the crib isn't assembled, all the crap that was in the junk room (now the nursery) is sitting in the hallway, we haven't registered for any baby items, and I definitely have WAY too much stuff to do at work before going on maternity leave. Unfortunately, with each day that passes I have less energy and the couch looks more and more comfortable when I get home from work. I think I need my mom to come visit for a weekend... things magically get done when she's around. I have no idea how she's so productive, but apparently I did not inherit that trait. Or maybe I'm just lazy... I think I'll go ponder that thought while I lay on the couch and watch Friends. :)

That is because mom is supermom which is a superpower you cannot attain until you actually have the baby. So no fear, you will be supermom as well to little Zoe, but for now, you still need your own supermom :) I think this is how it works anyways :) (and if it makes you feel any better i am not pregnant and am sitting on my couch with ben and jerry and gilmore girls....
